In the spirit of ohana, proceeds from this fund-raiser will be donated to the newly formed Gorge Canoe Club, in Oregon, started by paddler and Mt. Hood snowboard instructor, Val Stepanchuk. “I couldn’t be more grateful,” says Val, “especially since we are trying to build a grassroots club and attract more paddlers who are new to the water.”
“That’s how this works,” says Alvarez, “one hand feeds the other. It’s how we help grow a family of paddlers.” Come join the family, November 13, and be sure to sign up now if you’ll be paddling!
